Isolation Doodle

Here is a sketch I did to pass the time while stuck at home weathering through the coronavirus pandemic. We've been watching a lot of science fiction, so I'm riffing on how it feels to be so isolated, like my wife and I are on some space mission to an alien planet. 

Laborare est orare

With the encroachment of the Coronavirus, our church decided to hold it's first ever "virtual" church service this last Sunday (March 15). I usually doodle in a small notebook during the sermon, but being at home and watching via YouTube gave me the opportunity to actually paint during the entire service. It's watercolor on watercolor paper. This art is driven mostly by anxiety, but also by the sermon, which talked about Jesus being the vine, and all of us Christians, the branches growing from that vine.
